RED FISH, BLUE FISH
ACTION / MARTIAL ARTS FEATURE
Written by Margie Rogers, Tom Proctor, and Kevin Kangas
Maxell Random takes his coffee black, his whiskey neat, his women wild, and his fights dirty. His life has little rhyme or reason, with the fewer rules the better and no strings, partners or committees to answer to.
“Always cheat. Always win.”
Like the country of Cambodia, Red Fish, Blue Fish is a story of contradictions, a tale of unexpected conflict between truth and corruption, traditional family values and unmitigated greed. Simple warriors combat the forces of evil invading their peaceful land, and with help from the dirtiest fighter in the world, find new hope in the battle against drug traffickers and the human slave trade.
It is an invitation to the Devil’s Cauldron. And in the midst of peaceful beauty, where innocent peasant life meets the ruthless crime lords of The Golden Triangle, Random’s time is running out.

MARGIE ROGERS is a creative powerhouse, serving as Creative Director to a cutting-edge tech startup before crossing over into film as production designer, screenwriter, and editor. Her fine artistic sense and impeccable attention to detail, along with her commitment to the belief that there is No Job Too Small inspired one studio executive to comment that “Everyone needs a Margie.”
In another life, Rogers specialized in organizing facts and figures in accounting and legal work, then wrote administrative manuals, ran several of her own companies and taught leadership and quality management principles. An enthusiastic multi-tasker and juggler of a wide variety of management jobs, Rogers discovered that her career in business made her uniquely suited to production design in theater, feeding her creative fire while showcasing her organizational skills. She designed and crafted costumes, painted scenery, built sets and props, sang, acted, danced, wrote, directed, taught teens, led children’s choirs, and knew she had found her home.
Rogers is a sought-after acting coach, a director of stage productions, and a formidable actress in her own right. In theater studies at the University of Utah, Rogers honed her acting skills under the pedigreed tutelage of Aden Ross, Adrian Giurgea, Anne Decker, Bob Baca, Frank Gerrish, Suzanne McKenna and Xan Johnson. She took the stage as leading actress in favorite musicals, comedies, and dramas.
As Creative Director at Rode Hard Films, Rogers embraces her role as first and last eyes on every project, directing, writing, re-writing, editing, creating new projects and shepherding existing projects to success.
